Haas Effect
Created by Oliver Codd / 7 MB
The Haas Effect is a technique commonly used by mixing engineers to move a sound source’s stereo positioning left or right without losing a sense of 3D space and dimension. By using short delays (5ms-30ms) instead of simply adjusting left and right channel gain levels, you can move your tracks around in a way that feels much more natural and connected to the rest of the mix. The Logic Pro Haas Effect includes additional high and low frequency cut controls that will affect the delayed signal only. This can be used to further isolate the source from the rest of the space, resulting in an enhanced sense of width.
